Jenny has been described as the Pioneer of Machine Embroidered quilts, having made her first quilt The Pfaff Heritage Quilt in 1992 closely followed by her now famous Color Purple quilt.

Passionate about colour and its many facets Jenny was an artist for years using a variety of mediums, her favourite being on glaze painting on porcelain which she taught in her studio for many years. She has painted on fabric, silk, wood and canvas.

Temporarily trading her brushes and paint for needle and thread using 21st century technology Jenny now explores the creative world or machine embroidery and quilting. In 1991 she joined the Pfaff sewing machine company in Australia as the National Education and Training manager, later being promoted to National Marketing manager she continued working in this capacity until 1997 at which time Jenny decided to venture into the world of publishing and in 1999 started her own company.

Simon (Jenny’s son) joined Jenny in 2001 and in no time this creative duo were considered leading forces in the machine embroidery and quilting world. Jenny and Simon are hailed for their original designs and easy techniques. Their classes and seminars are inspiring and frequently life-changing events for their students who, with Jenny and Simon’s guidance, learn to bring artistry to their work.

In 2008 Jenny and Simon launched their much sought after Academy of Accredited Tutors, with hundreds of eager students taking advantage of the hands on classes, taking advantage of the over 20 years of knowledge that was imparted to them.

Always priding themselves as being on the cutting edge of technology, Simon and Jenny launched the first online Academy of Accredited Tutors, once again attracting hundreds of eager students. The students were excited to take advantage of an opportunity to use their own machines, in their own studio, avoiding the pressure of a limited time crowded class. These online accreditations involved all the designs, photos and class instructions in detailed work books. On top of this there were videos; regular webinars and 24/7 online help from Jenny and Simon.

More recently they also hosted the first online Academy of Accredited Quilters, which once again was a great success. These type of online presentations involved not only webinars, but videos, workbooks with Jenny/Simon being available 24/7 running an online help via email.

In June of 2013 Simon was diagnosed with T cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma Leukaemia. For the next eight months he underwent very intensive chemotherapy and as of February 2014 he has been declared in remission.

In 2014 Simon is spear heading a new concept in online classes and presentations, which we know will be successful and exciting with he and Jenny continuing their “Ministry of Sewing’.
