Shabby Chic Pillow

Who said just because you have a small hoop, you cannot do large designs? This delightful shabby chic pillow is made using designs that can be stitched in a 130m x 180mm hoop upwards to a 200mm x 300mm hoop and are just so easy to do. Embroidered Decoupage® is Jenny’s technique to create free standing designs that can then be attached to any other fabric, with ease and accuracy and takes the ‘hard’ factor out of accurate design placement. Using this technique opens up a whole new world for machine embroidery, allowing the machine artist to create projects easily and quickly. This Shabby Chic pillow is one such project, with the glorious large padded applique free standing design easily being applied to a purchased pillow cover. The design can also be used as a trivet or a placemat – the creative possibilities are endless!

DIY Upcycle Basket

My daughter-in-law, Kim bought this cane basket at an ‘Op-Shop’ for $1.00 knowing Robbie and I wanted to ‘upcycle’ a cane basket. It is a small basket and is for Zoey my beloved grand-daughter. The dimensions of our basket are 26in around the top, 23in around the bottom and 8in high, so it is a rather small basket that can be used as a child’s basket or and adult hand bag.

Lennox Cube

Simon designed, digitized and made his Alphabet for Lennox quilt. Lennox is Jodie (and George’s) beautiful baby son (Jodie is Simon’s BFF). This name cube (ottoman) is designed for a child to sit on and play with. The letters spell the child’s name in this case LENNOX. The cube can be made with scrap fabrics – especially in bright colors as children love this. If you do not wish to use scraps of fabric from your stash, then purchase fat quarters of fabric that coordinate. However it is a great way to use up those fabrics in your stash that are not quite large enough to do anything major with.

Magic Pillow

Create a beautiful Magic Pillow with puffed up fabric, gold couching and 3D flowers. Just Magic!!
